According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in 2021, thanks to the continuous increase in rubber prices despite the global COVID-19 pandemic, Vietnam’s rubber exports only increased by 11.7% compared to 2020, but export turnover was estimated at 3.24 billion USD, up 36.2% compared to 2020.

In 2021, the Vietnam Rubber Group alone provided 402,900 tons of exploited rubber latex, reaching 106% of the plan, an increase of more than 30,000 tons compared to 2020, purchasing over 90,500 tons,28% higher than the plan; consumed over 490,000 tons, 7% higher than the plan.

The Group has 15 member companies that have developed a sustainable forest management plan on 200,925 hectares (accounting for 69.7% of the Group’s total rubber area in Vietnam); in which, 12 companies were granted certificates of sustainable forest management according to national and international standards (VFCS/PEFC-FM) on 70,030 hectares of rubber and were granted international certificates of PEFC-CoC for 22 rubber latex processing factories.
