Equipment operators must be trained in skills and safety procedures before they can operate on the machine. ① The materials used for extrusion production should meet the required production requirements and further processing if necessary. ② According to the product type and size, select the specifications of the machine head, and install the machine head in the following order: the machine head flange, the mold body, the die, the perforated plate and the filter screen. ③ Check the surface work of the cooling system and heating system. ④ Adjust the gap of the die evenly and check whether the center line of the main machine and the auxiliary machine is aligned. ⑤ Start each operating equipment, check whether the operation is normal, and find out the fault and remove it in time. ⑥ Turn on the electric heater and uniformly heat up the fuselage head and the first fuselage, the second fuselage, and the third fuselage. When the temperature of each part is about 10C higher than the normal production temperature, keep the temperature constant for 30-60min, so temperature is balanced.

Start-up is an important part of production. Poor control will damage the screw and the head. Excessive temperature will cause the decomposition of the plastic. Too low temperature will damage the screw, barrel and head. The startup procedure is as follows.
① Start at low speed, start idling, check if the screw is abnormal, whether the current of the motor and ammeter is overloaded, and whether the pressure gauge is normal. The idling time of the machine should not be too long to prevent the screw and barrel from abrasion. ② Gradually add less material, and wait until the material is squeezed out of the die. Before the plastic is extruded, no one should be in front of the die to avoid personal injury or death. ③ After the plastic is extruded, the extrudate needs to be slowly introduced into the cooling and shaping and traction equipment, and these equipment must be started in advance. Then, according to the indication value of the control instrument and the requirements for the extruded product, the various links are appropriately adjusted until the extrusion operation reaches a normal state. ④ Cutting and sampling, check whether the appearance meets the requirements, the size meets the standards, quickly check the performance, and then adjust the extrusion process of the rubber extrusion production line according to the quality requirements to make the products meet the standard requirements.

For general rubber materials, stop operation according to the following ①--③.
① Stop feeding, squeeze out the rubber material in the extruder, and turn off the power of the barrel and the head. ② While turning off the power of the main machine, turn off the power of each auxiliary machine.
③ Open the connection flange of the machine head and clean the perforated plate and the various parts of the machine head. When cleaning, use copper rods and copper sheets, and a little oil after cleaning. For cleaning the screw and barrel, the screw can be ejected from the tail of the machine if necessary, and then restored after cleaning. Under normal circumstances, transitional refueling can be used. ④ Example: When extruding polyolefin plastics, the machine is usually stopped when the extruder is fully loaded (at this time, the air should be prevented from entering the machine) to prevent the material from oxidizing and affecting the quality of the product when it continues to produce. For PVC plastics, you can also use the material to stop, then close the material door first, reduce the temperature at the head connector (flange) 0-30C, and stop after the material in the standby body is squeezed out. ⑤ Close the main power supply and cooling water main valve.
