Insulation Layer and Sheath
Rubber (e.g., EPDM or silicone) is extruded over copper or aluminum conductors to form the insulation layer. This is used in applications requiring high flexibility or weather resistance, such as high-voltage cables, mining cables, marine cables, and welding cables.

Hose Cover
A rubber layer is extruded over the braided or spiraled reinforcement layer to serve as a protective cover.
